Samsung Galaxy Ace Review: A Look at the Inside and the Outside of this Smartphone

In this Samsung Galaxy Ace review, you will know about all the different features and benefits of this smartphone. In this article you will know all the things that you need to know to make an informed choice on whether or not you should get this phone.

The Samsung Galaxy Ace was released in the first quarter of 2011. The Galaxy Ace is part of the Galaxy line of smartphones that Samsung released as a follow up to the success of the Galaxy S smartphone that they released the year before. But even though it bears the Galaxy name, you should not expect that the Galaxy Ace will be as feature packed as the Galaxy S2 which is released at the same time, rather, think of it as a smaller and more economical alternative.

How It Looks…

On the outside, the Samsung Galaxy Ace looks sleek, the outer case does not have any noticeable seams which gives the phone a nice look and feel. The phone has a minimalistic design, so you will not see any embellishments at all. On the front, you will only see the home button, but when you wake up the phone the touch sensitive back and menu buttons will appear. At the back, the Galaxy Ace has a good 5MP rear camera with a single LED flash; great for casual shots and the occasional video.

Looking at the sides, you will see that the Samsung Galaxy Ace is a bit on the chunky side at almost half an inch thick, this is to make room for the 3.5 mm audio jack on the top of the phone. At the left side of the phone you will find the volume control button, and on the right side you will find the power/sleep button.

The Screen

The Samsung Galaxy Ace has a 3.5 inch screen with a 320×480 resolution. The screen is made of very tough Corning Gorilla Glass, this means that it is highly scratch resistant and it will not crack easily as well; the only problem is that the slick glass surface is also a fingerprint magnet, so will find yourself wiping the screen very often. This is a far cry from the high-resolution Super AMOLED screen that the Galaxy S2 has, but it is not too shabby either; pictures and videos still look great even though it cannot display them in HD quality.

Under the Hood…

The Samsung Galaxy Ace has an 800 MHz processor, which is surprising considering that similar models that were released at the same time were sporting 1 GHz processors already. Fortunately, the Android v2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system does not really put too much of a burden on the processor, so scrolling and opening apps are still rather smooth; the performance will only lag when there are multiple applications open.

The built-in storage is quite lacking, at only 158MB, fortunately it does come shipped with a 2GB micro SD card; but you will soon find yourself switching to a much larger 32GB memory card. And, when it comes to battery life, the Galaxy Ace is probably one of the few smartphones that can actually last long on a single charge.

In Closing…

The Galaxy Ace does not really perform like the Galaxy S2, but it does not really claim that it could. For its price, it is actually feature-packed when you compare it with the other phone brands and models in the same price range. Hopefully, this Samsung Galaxy Ace review was able to provide you with all the information you need and help you make up your own decision about this smartphone model.

OPPO X907: One of the Fastest Smartphones

The race to being the fastest smartphone is ongoing.  Many of the mobile phone manufacturers are coming out with one model after another, trying to beat the best in the market.  The OPPO X907 is no different. Despite the mash-up of opinions for China phones, it’s a front runner where innovative devices are a concern. If you refuse to be swayed by mere criticisms, try getting the phone and allow it to amaze you with all that it can do. Smartphones are all incredible in their own means but the OPPO gadget paves the way for a new statement of technology.

  • 4.3 inches AMOLED screen
  • 6.65 slim body
  • 125 g
  • 1500 mAh built-in battery
  • 8-megapixel rear camera; 1.3-megapixel front camera with auto focus
  • 1080p video capture
  • Dual LED light
  • 16 million color display
  • 480 x 800 screen resolution
  • 16 GB ROM; 1 GB RAM
  • Adreno 220; Snapdragon dual core, 1.5 G MHz
  • Android 4.03 operating system

Dubbed as the thinnest smartphone, the OPPO X907 is appealing enough for those who are more set on the looks of the device than its overall features. If you are one of those people and you are on the brink of purchasing the gadget, you wouldn’t be sorry with your decision eventually. The Android phone may be satisfying enough on the outside but its package is as impressive as you wouldn’t believe.

Basic Features

  • Calendar
  • Gravity and acceleration sensor
  • Schedule
  • Notepad with handwriting input
  • Calculator
  • Currency converter
  • World clock
  • Electronic compass
  • Supports TXT, PDF, and Office files

The manufacturers of the OPPO X907 have a lot to be proud of. The smartphone’s basic features are already something but alongside them, you are allowed to install applications on your own. Basically, you are have the freedom to integrate the programs that you prefer. Whatever you like, you just download the programs and then transfer them to the phone.

The OPPO phone is impressive in how it looks. It’s sleek and modern. A new definition of elegance is what it entails. In fact, based on the outside qualities alone, you are given a reason to purchase it. Reminiscent of the Apple iPhone 4S, it’s a stylish multi-touch smartphone that could be the envy of your friends.  Only available in black, the gadget is one of the finest ever introduced to the market.

If you are ready with $500, you could get the OPPO X907 with some change to spare. Unlike most smartphones, the Android device won’t demand too much from your pocket. Its makers designed it exactly as something that even those with a tight budget can afford. By being priced a couple hundred bucks less than average phones of its class, it’s definitely among the best selections out there.

Where storage is concerned, the OPPO smartphone fails to be outstanding. It comes only with 16 GB of RAM. But it’s a lot already, if you think about it. Given the types of media you can keep, its built-in storage should suffice. Though there is no slot for a memory card, you can still figure something out to fit all the important files you need to carry with you.

As a contender in the battle for the fastest smartphone in the market, the OPPO X907 is worth checking out. Its excellence redeems the reputation of all China-made phones. Items manufactured from the western country may be sprinkled with some infamy but generalizing everything won’t do you any good. Because it’s not a product of Apple, Sony, or Windows, you may not think much of it but wait until you know the real deal. If you want something that can amaze you despite of its unpopularity, the OPPO phone won’t let you down.

An Overview and Reviews of the Key Features of the HTC Sensation

The Android operating system has had major developments ever since it was released in 2010. Since then, there are already five different versions of this operating system. Each of these major developments had a different graphical user interface which made navigation and selection of apps easier. As the software was upgraded, the graphical user interface was made more manageable and easier to customize. This does not mean however that the user will have a personally unique interface. The Android OS is greatly limited in terms of its GUI. HTC mobile has resolved this with the release of HTC’s own graphical user interface known as the HTC Sense.

HTC Sense

The HTC Sense is based on the original 3D design known as the TouchFlo 3D. It is layered on top of the original Android interface meaning that the HTC Sense is the graphical user interface shown instead of the Android’s interface. It was first released and announced in 2009. The first version of HTC Sense featured only a small number of apps which are connected to Facebook and Twitter. There was a significant room for development especially in terms of widgets and screen customizability.

HTC Mobile

HTC Sense 2.0

The dawn of a new generation of smart phones prompted HTC mobile to come up with a better graphical user interface in order to overcome its competitors. The Sense 2.0 released in 2010 was a huge leap in the capabilities of this GUI. Online streams are now accessible using widgets. This was also the first version wherein HTC released a large number of widgets which could be used to customize the homepage. Accounts could be synced with the HTC widgets in order to show dates which have reminders set within them.

HTC Sense 3.0/3.6

The Sense 3.0 featured a new set of widgets which included services such as movie streaming and global time tracking. The lock screen was also redesigned to have shortcuts to applications. The date and weather widgets were also displayed on the locked screen. This was also the first version to have 3D transition effects when moving through home screens. One of the most recognized widgets, the date and weather widget, was copied by other brands from the Sense 3.0. The Sense 3.6 was an upgrade for the Sense 3.0. It was built for devices which is upgradable or already has the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. It is exactly like the Sense 3.0 but has an upgraded home screen and apps.

HTC Sense 4.0

The Sense 4.0 is the latest version of the HTC Sense to be released. This graphical user interface is present with the latest HTC phones and most notably with the HTC One X. This version is the fastest and featured significantly lighter widgets. This is achieved by taking the 3D transitions down a notch. A new home screen is also present with the applications being pinned to the dock. Widget placement was also revamped. Widgets would rearrange themselves accordingly to give space to the widget being pinned by the user.

The Future of HTC Sense

HTC has already announced the upcoming Sense versions known as the Sense 4.1 and Sense 4+. These upgrades are done to further improve the HTC Sense and to remove any possible bugs found with the GUI. These versions are also developed for future generations of the Android OS.

HTC Mobile – Conclusion

The HTC Sense is only one aspect of the wonders found with HTC’s smart phones. This one aspect, however, has completely set a new standard for GUIs. The HTC Sense has certainly made all of  HTC mobile unique. Adding the fact that their latest smart phones are at par with other brand’s smart phones make it much more alluring to buy their phones.

Samsung Galaxy Ace Review

There is a wide range of Smartphone’s or Android Phones available in the market, all of them vying for the consumers’ attention but only a few are able to make a mark, one of which is the Samsung Galaxy Ace. It is relatively new, released only in February of 2011. The first Galaxy Ace models did not quite satisfy the tech head’s craving but Samsung rebounded with a more efficient device of the same bloodline.

Samsung Galaxy Ace is powered by an 800 Mhz single core processor and is perfect for a minimalist smartphone user. It is way affordable compared to other high-end android phones lining up the market but still boasts of top quality performance that you may first doubt due to its lightweight plastic made chassis.

Sophisticated and alluring in the eyes of standard smartphone users, the phone stands out despite the 3.5 HVGA screen. For a smartphone with 5 mp camera though, your appreciation of your photos may be incomplete. However, its 2592×1944 pixels resolution promises rewarding outputs.

The device has 152 built-in storage plus a microSD slot to allow memory expansion of up to 32 GB. This is beneficial for users who want to fill their phones with from the Android Market and Samsung Apps Store. Samsung is well-known for producing durable handsets. Samsung Galaxy Ace Review is not an exception. Since Samsung has switched from the old and vulnerable metal to plastic, users can be less worried about damages resulting from a 5-10 feet drop. This is where Galaxy wins the crowd over iPhone, which often fall short in terms of sturdiness.

Samsung Galaxy S2 Specifications

Mobile phone radars have been up since news about the release of Samsung Galaxy S2 Specs spread. And the crowd was not disappointed. As a top iPhone contender, Samsung never stopped trying to beat Apple’s most precious by constantly updating one of its stars.

Samsung Galaxy S2 prides itself in its Android 4.0 software, the Ice Cream Sandwich powered by 1.2 gHz dual core processor. It is thin and light with 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5mm a dimension, making it an easy-to-carry device. Switching the chassis from metal to plastic makes it a lightweight smartphone, possibly the lightest one around. Pop the back of the device you will see what gave this such an awesome weight. The 4.3 inches screen is also noticeable but not in a bad way. The width combined with the weight and thickness makes it a convenient companion.

Although you can’t help but praise iPhone more than the Samsung Galaxy 5 model, you will find the latter more appealing in terms of durability. Drop it from a five feet building and you would get an intact, scratch-less, dent-less, and crack-less device in return. This is where the iPhone often loses it. This time, the built-in storage is 32 GB standard, expandable up to another 32 GB if you wish to load it with photos, videos, and apps that can be downloaded from Samsung Apps Store and Android market. The camera is also another feature to behold but the results will behold you more as the 8 mp camera promises to give you the same crisp and vivid pictures.

Samsung Galaxy S Specs

In the world of Fastest Smartphone, there are only few big names vying for the top spots. Although iPhone won over almost a third of the world’s smartphone users’ population, Samsung Galaxy S still keep the competition going.

Most satisfied users find Samsung Galaxy S’s high-end performance a treat. The processor has 1GHz speed that offers fast Internet browsing response, video streaming, and playback. It is made to multi-task. You can listen to your playlist and browse the Internet at the same time without worries about “hiccups.”

The 5.0 megapixel camera is another great thing about Samsung Galaxy S. Pictures are displayed in high quality natural and vivid colors enhanced by its 4.0 WVGA super AMOLED MDNIE technology. Color is Samsung’s specialty so there is no question about it. Music and media lovers would enjoy the SoundAlive powered music player which can play AAC, WMA, OGG, and WAV files while the high definition video player can accommodate DivX, Mp4, Xvid, WMV, AVI, and 3gp formats. App addicts can download free and cheap applications from Samsung Apps and android market as well so you are never really left behind when it comes to the latest.

With a huge line of Smartphones available in the market, you might get confused as to which one would really make your day, help you ease technical stuff in your life, and give you quality entertainment. We know that the iPhone series has been making waves in the market since day one but don’t turn your back on the other good stuff. Samsung Galaxy 5 is a great alternative. If you want to veer away from the “iPopulation” for a while, this one would be a breather.

Excited about a freshly popped iPhone 5, it has become an instinct to look for iPhone 5 accessories. However, smart shoppers do not just buy one out of whim, although the idea of accessories relates to luxuries or things you buy to decorate or beautify your iPhone.

You would find more value for your money though and spending will not be too painful if you would look for functional iPhone 5 accessories. Like what? If you think such do not exist, think again.

People tend to frequently changes these because 1) your eyes eventually tire of seeing the same look for a long time and 2) screen protectors lose purpose in a few months.

If you are the type of person who often misplaces things, a dock would give your iPhone a permanent location. In a way, it is also a protective gear because putting your gadget everywhere may cause damage.

People who are not satisfied with iPhone 5 Case can choose from a variety of models in the market. There are huge earpieces for  more classic look and there are also earplugs for the minimalist. A fully functional headset would be one that is Bluetooth enabled.
